One in five adults in the United States experience a mental illness at some point in their lives, whether it be depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or another condition. In fact, depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, and can lead to addiction, homelessness and other debilitating issues.
Oglethorpe, Inc. was founded in 1999 to provide support for people who have lost hope, guiding them on a compassionate journey toward a better future. We breathe new life into failed or struggling psychiatric health and addiction recovery centers, providing up-to-date technology and equipment as well as training and oversight for all hospital staff members. Today, Oglethorpe oversees more than 1,200 employees at nine treatment centers throughout four states.
We believe that most people who suffer from mental illness or addiction can get better. While treatment and recovery are an ongoing process that take time, the first step is getting help. When a person steps foot into an Oglethorpe, Inc. treatment facility, he or she is taking an important first step in the recovery process.
All Oglethorpe, Inc. health care staff members are trained in providing a safe and caring environment, laying the foundation for patients to learn, grow and thrive. As an organization, we care for our staff members, facilities and, most importantly, the patients that we serve. Together, we provide support and hope.
If you or a loved one is struggling and is in need of behavioral health or addiction recovery services, our doctors, psychiatrists and health care staff are here to help.
